Sr. Engineers Supplier Development with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Plymouth, MI. Utilizing Rivian processes based on industry standards from VDA and AIAG, responsible for managing the quality performance of the component supply base. Manage problem landscape through detailed work in problem solving. Perform on-site supplier visits and audit root cause analysis to verify corrective actions are implemented and documented at the supplier’s location. Develop supplier action plans to support industrialization and advanced product quality planning (APQP). Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to
define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability to meet product and process requirements. Promote the use of Rivian preferred techniques including, Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Support the Quality Organization to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and system. Domestic travel required approximately 80% of the time.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field and 3 years [or a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years] of experience in any occupation as a mechanical engineer, systems engineer, or related. Experience must include scripting with Java, and Python for automation; working with Linux Server system administration; utilizing PL/SQL and Oracle for database management; working with ITIL framework and change management; developing internal applications using ITSME and CLM Tools; using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) languages; and working with requirement gathering and design.
