Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate , you will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and safely through the facility. You'll work alongside a knowledgeable management team with deep experience in the transportation and logistics industry. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position ideal for individuals who thrive in an active warehouse environment.
What You'll Do
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders for processing
Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions
Move, gather, distribute, and ship products accurately
Maintain a safe, clean, and accessible warehouse environment
Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
Assemble products and assist with inventory counts as needed
Take check calls from drivers to ensure on-time deliveries
Validate load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting purposes
Monitor daily pickups and deliveries and confirm condition and timeliness
What You'll Need to Succeed
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to apply critical thinking to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
Availability to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends as freight volumes vary
Preferred Qualifications
Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation or logistics industry
Experience loading and unloading trailers
Experience using handheld scanners
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
Ability to load and unload trucks
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
