SHIPPING LEAD- Charlevoix Location
The essential role of the Shipping Lead is to coordinate and load outbound materials. Candidate must be able to read shipping paperwork, correctly identify materials, and safely load materials in a way that minimizes or eliminates damage.
Responsibilities:
- Load finished windows and insulated glass units into trailers
- Secure loads to minimize damage in transit
- Inspect window quality and make sure windows agree with shipping paperwork
- Organize shipping paperwork and loads for ease of unloading
- Communicate with production and transportation team for on-time delivery
- Build shipping crates for safe transit of windows on LTL carriers
- Help as needed in production
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS multiple times per day, 100 lbs (assisted)
- Certified (or able to be certified) to operate a forklift
- Competent in operating a chop saw
- Basic carpentry knowledge
Starting from $18/hour and up depending on qualifications.
