About the Role
In this Seasonal Transport Driver role based out of Hudsonville, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods on a dedicated route to Indiana cross-dock locations, ensuring full compliance with all DOT regulations. This position requires experience pulling doubles, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and proper handling of equipment.
This role is ideal for drivers who are comfortable working independently, managing a repeat route. Your work plays a key role in keeping product moving efficiently between facilities and supporting our commitment to reliable service and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a truck to deliver dairy products and dry goods to cross-dock in a timely and efficient manner
- Load and unload products as necessary (by hand or other means) ensure proper handling of items and place products neatly in a designated trailer/truck.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition and monitor reefer temperatures to maintain product quality and safety.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Complete end-of-day check-ins accurately and without errors.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A and Doubles Certification required.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a truck driver, with CDL A experience.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work late evening shifts and stay until the job is completed (Start time 6pm until completed)
