EJOT ATF, LP seeks a Director of Product Management in Romulus, MI, and Wixom, MI, to promote the reputation of the company and its fastening technologies among major North American industrial groups with a primary focus on extending the range of proprietary company products across the automotive sector. Specifically, the position will:
- Create relationships and maintain regular contact with company technical departments to increase cooperation.
- Create partnerships with manufacturers of raw materials, manufacturers of fastening/joining tools. trade associations, certification bodies, test laboratories and institutions of higher education.
- Participate in trade fairs and conferences, organize internal and external seminars, and participate in audits and visits from customers to company production sites.
- Act as technical support contact and subject matter expert contact for the company, accompany sales representatives into the field for major projects, manage the APPLITEC (fastener testing) laboratory, train personnel on changes in products, ranges and production tools, and strengthen contacts and cooperation with technical departments and product managers at the company and its suppliers and manufacturers.
- Act as technical consultant and subject matter expert, advising customers on fastener recommendations, use of specifications, and monitoring of technology and standards.
- Create sales support documents and flyers, draft press releases in specialized media, create internal communications materials, and maintain technical aspects of company website.
Telecommuting permitted up to one day per week within the Detroit MSA.
Requires Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field or its foreign equivalent and 10 years of technical, quality and/or safety product management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
