Job Description
The Resource Planning (RP) Business Administrator partners with Finance, Engineering, IT, and Business Management teams to ensure accurate labor tracking, reporting, and system optimization across engineering and IT organizations. This position maintains data integrity between Resource Planning systems and PentaSAP, supports program and budget visibility, and delivers high-quality customer service and reporting to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Program Support
Support Business Managers across Product Development by ensuring accurate capture of labor hours charged by their teams
Monitor supervisory compliance and user time-charging accuracy
Enable program management teams to track and manage overall labor budgets for supported projects
IT & Systems Collaboration
Drive RP system improvements across North America, IAP, and global regions
Collaborate with IT partners to identify and implement solutions that simplify and enhance supervisor and user functionality
Develop and maintain RP programs, map programs to PentaSAP, and monitor WBS overrun reports and PentaSAP special runs
Maintain location, department, and organizational structures within the RP system for NA and APAC regions
Customer Support & Reporting
Provide high-volume customer support, including troubleshooting, user and supervisor profile updates, and issue resolution
Create, manage, and resolve DriveIT tickets
Deliver online and in-person support, including participation in management meetings
Develop and distribute monthly reports for senior leadership
Maintain accurate user, reporting, and interface data within the RP database
What you will learn:
Improve Resource Planning accuracy, with a goal of capturing 100% of actual labor hours
Streamline and optimize RP strategies and processes
Develop and deliver role-based training for RP users
Provide ongoing support for weekly profile corrections, resource reporting, and general user and supervisor inquiries
Perform weekly reconciliation of Resource Planning (RP) data with PentaSAP to ensure financial accuracy
Partner with Program Economic Managers (PEMs) to maintain current visibility into labor hours assigned to active programs
Develop reporting tools to support estimator scope of work and CVE development

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, specifically PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables and slicers)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Customer-service mindset with the ability to provide clear, timely, and professional responses
Process-driven with a high degree of accuracy, diligence, and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to change and manage evolving priorities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, use diplomacy, and effectively resolve customer concerns
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant experience with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 automotive supplier
Proven presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
Key Success Factors:
Consistent delivery of accurate and timely resource planning data
Strong stakeholder relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and expertise
Continuous improvement of RP processes, tools, and user experience
