The Vehicle Thermal Systems group is responsible for developing new technology, both hardware and software strategies and implementing it into all Ford Motor Company vehicles. This team also assesses vehicle heating, cooling, battery cooling and defrost performance against global targets for maximum performance and calibrates the system to provide cabin comfort. The teams use various CAE methods and physical testing to quantify and qualify vehicle level thermal and efficiency performance against targets.

Leading teams with members signing off programs utilizing CAE and physical test methods for ICE/Hybrid/BEV Products.
Drive teams to develop, correlate and apply new CAE methods to support product development and virtual test sign-off.
New technology development, both strategy and hardware.
Ensure thermal system components align with new electrical system architectures.
What you'll do...
Interface with teams throughout the company to enable the optimum attribute trade-offs.
Interface with application and subsystem teams to support overall vehicle sign-off.
Attestation for defrost performance and other regulatory requirements.
Support warranty reduction analysis.
Support TVM / Cost Reduction while maintaining quality.
You'll have...
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
A strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer.
5+ years minimum experience in vehicle development processes.
Self-directed, confident, and resilient individual with excellent communication skills.
Excellent people management skills.
Motivation to work in a fast-moving environment.
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and effectively communicate to management.

Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years plus experience in automotive ICE/Powertrain or vehicle CAE & testing.
Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the company and interact with suppliers.

Ability to balance objectives and resolve conflicts.
Ability to institutionalize the key factors of thermal systems success and lessons learned through documentation.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
