Job Description
The Purchasing Leader will be responsible for overseeing the Sourcing, development, and businesses maintenance of key vehicle systems, ensuring they meet quality, performance, cost, and timing targets. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain system integration and compliance with internal control regulations.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead the purchasing strategy for assigned vehicle systems, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality sourcing
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
Guarantee the conformity to internal control system rules
Work closely with global and regional suppliers to enhance supply chain resilience
Work with engineering, R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to align purchasing activities with vehicle development
Oversee budget planning and cost tracking for purchasing activities
Support cost-reduction initiatives, improving efficiency across sourcing and procurement processes
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, ensuring alignment with the company goals
Work with manufacturing and quality teams to address supplier quality concerns and implement corrective actions
Construction & Industrial Services is responsible for sourcing activities supporting various areas within construction and industrial services at our plants and facilities in North America. The purchasing responsibilities include supplier negotiations, sourcing on time and to target, driving cost savings activities and development and implementation of global commodity strategies, lead the resolution and negotiation of commercial issues, support other buyers on the team with PO placement, sourcing activities and other various tasks. The selected candidate will interact with many cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
A minimum 10+ years of relevant purchasing experience or other disciplines that require significant negotiation/exposure to sourcing processes
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills
Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders- mainly Business Development and JV PM Office
Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management
Strong use of MS Office Suite/G Suit
