- Molecular, histological, and microbiology techniques
- Ordering and restocking reagents for the laboratory and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Responsible for writing certain components of progress reports and manuscripts.
- May co-author publications and present results in meetings.
- After being trained, the successful candidate may provide supervision for future students and/or other technicians. The level of supervision will be commensurate with the appointee's experience.
- High school diploma or associates degree and 1 year of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to work with laboratory mice and human sample material, including blood, tissue, and stool
- Hands-on experience in microbiology and cell culture with aseptic technique
- Ability to document and communicate in a clear and timely manner
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
