WHAT MAKES A GREAT BUS DRIVER?
With more than 100 years of providing excellent customer service in the transportation industry, we have a good idea of what makes a great bus driver. Our ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
- Have a CDL (A or B) with passenger and air brake endorsements and an excellent driving record or be able to obtain a CDL B with passenger and air brake endorsements.
- Be able to obtain an enhanced license or passport for traveling outside the U.S.
- Be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and alcohol test.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check with no drug or alcohol convictions.
- Enjoy traveling, seeing new sites, and meeting new people.
- Adapt well to an ever-changing industry.
- Enjoy working with people while treating them in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Be flexible with change and able to adapt to sudden schedule changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 24 years of age.
- High school diploma equivalent (GED).
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL.
- Consistent employment history.
- Clean criminal record (no felonies).
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam, including drug and alcohol screenings.
- Availability to work a variable schedule (including nights and weekends).
- Ability to lift or manipulate baggage and cargo up to 75 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate well with customers and fellow employees.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:
- Criminal background check.
- National Sex Offender Registry check.
- Motor Vehicle Registry check.
- Department of Transportation physical exam.
- Verification of employment history.
- Drug and alcohol screening.
Pay range is $18-$24.00
