TITLE: Summer Youth Worker
SUPERVISOR: Director of The Opportunity Center at the ALCC

STARTING WAGE: $14.00
JOB GOAL: To assist with general duties either at MCOP’s Main Office or The Opportunity Center for up to eight weeks during the summer months. Youth may be asked to work summer activities, clean offices, work in the food pantry, community garden, or kitchen as needed by the director or manager.
DUTIES:
- Organize activities and work with children at Tot Lot parks and/or summer camp at The Opportunity Center.
- Prepare meals for youth and seniors at The Opportunity Center
- Empty all waste baskets, inside and outside and paper shredders as needed.
- Clean restrooms, toilets, mirrors, floors, windows and restock paper products as needed.
- Assist in all yard work, up to and including the community garden.
- Other duties as requested by the Director.
- Assist with Food Pantry at MCOP central office.
QUALIFICATIONS: Age 14 or up with a work permit (if under 18).
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary part-time, up to 20 hours per week. Position will operate at The Opportunity Center at the ALCC located at 120 Eastchester St., Monroe, MI 48161, and in conjunction with MCOP Central office, 1140 S. Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161.
