Working with U.S. Military Veterans referred to our behavioral health program through the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care Network for the Northeast Michigan region.
Candidates must have experience addressing PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and the transition from military to civilian life.
Equine-Assisted Therapy is incorporated into sessions at our barn/office location, and experience working with horses is a plus.
Applicants must carry their own professional liability insurance.
Compensation is 50% of the current Medicare reimbursement rate (averaging approximately $60.00 per billable hour). Clinicians can expect a caseload of 3–6+ clients per day.
Some Veterans prefer telehealth appointments, which are compensated at the same rate.
Previous experience working with the VA or being credentialed through UnitedHealthcare may help expedite the credentialing process.
