CDL Class B Driver
Location: Greater Lansing Area
Pay: $26.00+/hour
We are currently seeking experienced CDL Class B Drivers to join a growing team in the Greater Lansing area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who value safety, reliability, and enjoy working in a hands-on, active environment.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle on assigned routes, ensuring timely and professional service while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance. This position works closely in a 2-person team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Provide professional and timely service to residential and commercial customers
- Load and transport materials along assigned routes
- Operate vehicle controls to safely handle containers and equipment
- Exit the vehicle as needed to assist with loading and service completion
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate route documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and team members
- Remain alert and proactive in identifying and addressing safety concerns
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays required
- Start time between 5:30 AM – 6:00 AM and work until the route is completed
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B license with air brakes endorsement
- Updated DOT Medical Card
- Less than 2 points on MVR
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Subject to random drug testing throughout the year without notice
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- No smoking of any kind permitted in company vehicles
