POSITION S UMMARY
The Nati o nal Pr o duct C o nsultant Digital Transf o rmati on serves as the primary driver o f pr o duct strategy, inn o vati o n, and lifecycle manage m ent within the o rganization for c o nsulting services and H o mag D igital Fact o ry Software as a Service (SaaS ) categ o r y . The r o le o versees product category perf o rmance within the regi o ns by w o rking in close partnership with the Regi o nal Director to ensure technical and market alignment acr o ss the matrix o rganizati o n, including Sales Management, Service Management, and Product Specialist role s , providing dotted-line guidance t o these r o le s . The Pr o duct Manager w o rks closely with the Schuler Regi o nal Sales Manager and the Direct o r o f C o nsulting & S o ftware t o ensure c o hesive execution o f pr o duct and market strategies in alignment with regional and c o rp o rate g o als.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Actively c o llab o rate with all m embers of the regional management team s - including the Regi o nal Director, Regional Sales Manager, Regi o nal Service M anager, and P roduct Specialis t - to ensure strategies, initiatives, and customer s o luti o ns are aligned. This includes r e gular cros s -functi o nal planning, training, sharing o f market intelligence, and j o int proble m -s o lving to deliver an integrated customer experience and achieve regi o nal and c o rp o rate business o bjectives.
Manage risk t o put the company in a positi o n to be successful within o ur pr e -sale, sale, and pos t -sale activitie s , ensuring the o rganization understands and mitigates the present risks while also understanding and accepting risk when necessary.
Respond t o cust o mer needs by maintaining a supp o rting r o le related to pre-sale, sale, and p o st-sale activity, this includes creating cust o m sales prop o sals, c o nfirmation o f technical details, steering o f m o dificati o ns t o existing equipment, f o ll o w-up with sales, service, parts and suppliers as necessar y , and d o ing what i t takes t o ensure customer satisfacti o n.
Provide technical, creative and pers o nal supp o rt f o r marketing eff o rts including press releases, trade shows, internal and external events and trainings, s o cial media, showroo m s, etc. to m aximize visibility and showcase the expertise o f being the leader in the industry f o r traditional, niche, and devel o ping m arke t s.
Maintain a thought leadership r o le within the market by devel o ping relati o nships with the sales and service team members (direct and dealers), cust o mers, and suppliers, t o provide o ng o ing supp o rt and remain relevant in m arket understanding and expertis e .
Research, acquire and analyze market inf o rmation to closel y m o nit o r c o mpetit o r activit y , keeping the company abreast o f changes in the c o mpetitive climat e , with a f o cus o n business devel o pment. W o rk within the market to understand new o pp o rtunities and leverage supplier relati o nships t o devel o p appropriate s o luti o n s .
Provide c o rp o rate leadership with product-related strategic planning t o implement annual budgets and expand business o pp o rtunities, which grows the business.
D evel o p and drive sales and revenue generati o n strategies t o ensure pr o fitable product line perf o rmance within the c o mpany.
Collab o rate with the Schuler Regi o nal Sales M anage r and D irect o r o f Consulting & Software t o devel o p business strategies and provide technical supp o rt f o r c o nsulting services and Software as a Service(SaaS) pr o ducts that supp o rt Digital Transf o rmati o n pr o jects f o r o ur clients.
M o nit o r federal and state g o vernment regulati o ns that may impact o ur business and communicate appropriately with suppliers and company leadership t o ensure understanding and strategic alignmen t .
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachel o r's Degree in Engineering, and o r Business Administrati o n
3+ years o f experience with D igital S o luti o ns services & product s in the wo o dworking industrie s
3+ years o f experience in product management, preferably in s o ftware f o r the w oo dw o rking industry Strong analytical and pr o ble m -s o lving skills
Excellent communicati o n and leadership skills
Proven track rec o rd o f successfully launching and/ o r managing technical products
Understanding o f manufacturing processes and industrial m achinery techn o logy (preferred )
Ability t o w o rk c o llab o ratively with cr o s s -functi o nal teams in a matrix o rganization
Comfortable w o rking with digital to o ls, systems and s o ftware
Proficiency in MS Office suite
