Description:
The Buffet Attendant is responsible primarily for maintaining buffet items. This person must have good communication skills as this is a fast paced position with continual customer contact. The ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and break down the breakfast buffet according to Hyatt Place standards
Prepare and replenish food and beverage items to ensure availability throughout service
Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation
Maintain a clean and organized breakfast area, dining room, and kitchen/prep spaces
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies
Greet guests courteously and respond promptly to guest needs or concerns
Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently to maintain a pleasant dining environment
Operate, clean, and maintain breakfast equipment (coffee machines, warmers, dispensers)
Communicate inventory needs or shortages to management
Support team members and assist other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred
Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
