Position Summary
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and management of a high-quality early childhood classroom. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards
• Lead daily classroom activities, including literacy, play-based learning, and structured instruction
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s development and maintain accurate records
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, behavior, and milestones
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers and classroom aides
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and daycare policies
• Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and redirection strategies
