Required Skills/Abilities
- Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Process experience such as stamping, injection molding, cold heading, riveting, machining, fine blanking, insert molding.
- Specific product experience with body mechanisms including latches, window regulators, power systems, hinges, gas lifters, door checks, etc. or similar components (such as seat mechanisms).
- Familiarity with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX) (ability to review designs, check measurements, cut sections etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of customer procedures, release systems and customer relations.
- Strong communication skills. Communications with PHA Korea design & engineering, Tier 2 suppliers to PHA, etc.
- Microsoft Office systems for presentations, specification creation/editing and design calculation (Excel).
- Ability to use standard Quality and Engineering tools such as 8-D, 6 sigma, DOE, root cause analysis, FEA, DFMEA, fishbone diagrams/fault tree analysis, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with or interacting with large global international companies. Experience working with Korean or other suppliers in Asia desirable but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- 1-3 years of relevant project or engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and Project).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel to customer, supplier, or manufacturing sites.
- Able to lift 25 pounds for prototype and sample handling.
