PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB POSITION

 This job position requires the following minimum physical abilities to adequately perform the above activities:

1. STANDING – This position requires about 6 hours of standing per shift, with around 2 hours walking, and about 2 hours in which the employee may sit.
2. PACE OF JOB – The pace of this job is set by the speed of the conveyor line and is not considered to be a quick pace.
3. LIFTING – A significant amount of lifting is required in this job position. The maximum amount lifted is around 60 lbs. with the average lift being around 30 lbs. with a lifting frequency of 400 times per hour.  Lifting heights vary from 4 inches above the floor to 6 feet above the floor.
4. TWISTING while carrying heavy loads is required in this job position at a rate of200-225 times per hour for about 4 hours per shift.
5. PUSH/PULL activities of about 30 lbs. average weight and involving around 4 hours per shift.
6. HAND/WRIST use is essential with 2-3 hours each shift requiring fine hand/wrist movements, pinching/gripping activities and repetitive twisting and bending of the wrist.
7. ELBOWS and SHOULDER use is required for 2 to 3 hours per day in the stacking portion of the job.
8. KNEES – Work on the knees is not essential for this job but a fair amount of squatting is required for about 1 hour per shift at a rate of 400-500 times per hour.
9. CLIMBING is minimal on this job with a 1-2 foot climb 4 times per shift.
10. WALKING DISTANCE for a shift is estimated to be around 2 miles.
11. VISION – 20/40 or better required with or without correction.
12. COLOR VISION – Normal color vision required.
13. HEARING – Hearing better than 40 Db threshold level in at least one ear is expected.

 FOOD SAFETY DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS

1. Use proper food safety PPE.
2. Ensure that pre-packaged products are free from any foreign objects/materials.
3. General housekeeping of area.
4. Ensure proper product code and good package seals.
