Job Overview
The Inside Sales Agent is responsible for selling our personal insurance package. They engage prospective clients in a fast, proactive, and professional manner. They communicate with prospective clients to understand their needs through phone calls, emails, texts, online video, and in-person meetings. Our inside sales agents are trained and knowledgeable in our systems and insurance carriers' policies, including home, auto, umbrella, and life. An inside sales agent will turn leads into sales and prospective clients into clients by tailoring a competitive, personalized insurance package to their needs. Finally, an inside sales agent works to foster client relationships that generate referrals for the ISA.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Selling our personal insurance package to prospective clients
- Selling home, auto, umbrella, life, and other personal insurance policies
- Turn leads into sales through our quoting process and positively influence prospective clients
- Maintaining organization, prioritizing time and resources, and gathering information in order to generate accurate policies
- Understanding our insurance companies' policies, systems, and processes, and having a great working relationship with their underwriting teams
- Making phone calls, emails, online video, and in-person meetings to find insurance needs and quote our insurance package
- Accurate and efficient data entry
- Maintaining Property and Casualty and Life Insurance Producer License
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Licensed as a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer before the start of employment
- Ability to get licensed as a Life Insurance producer
- Experience in sales or business development
- Outgoing, positive, and respectful attitude
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to use a computer and technology to create a personal insurance package and communicate effectively with prospective clients
- Proactively goes above and beyond
