Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Clare, MI
Pay Range: $17
Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6 am to 4 pm, with scheduled overtime on Fridays
What's the Job?
Safely operate forklift or hoist to load or move materials and products
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Manage inventory cleanliness and organization
Unload steel delivery trucks and assist with loading large products onto transportation
Ensure all parts are received and quality is verified, including measuring with tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Conducts daily forklift inspection.
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
What's Needed?
High school diploma or GED
Forklift experience REQUIRED
At least 1 year or more consecutive related experience
Ability to read and utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
Ability to read and complete forms and paperwork accurately
Basic computer skills for data input and retrieval
