Security – Family Entertainment Facility
Position Summary: The Security Officer helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for all guests and staff. This role is responsible for operating security screening equipment, monitoring facility activity, and responding to safety concerns with professionalism and calm judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate walk-through metal detectors and handheld wands to screen guests entering the facility
- Greet guests and provide clear instructions during the screening process
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to ensure a secure environment
- Enforce facility policies in a respectful, guest-focused manner
- Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, or policy violations
- Assist in emergency procedures, including evacuations or first-aid responses as directed
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with management and staff to maintain a positive, safe atmosphere for families
Qualifications:
- Available on nights and weekends
- Prior security, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume or stressful situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks
