Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all fiscal functions of the organization and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. This role is responsible for developing short- and long-term financial strategies and evaluating past performance to guide decision-making. The CFO will oversee the capital and operating budgets, providing regular reporting on actual or forecasted revenues, profits, or losses. This position also oversees financial reporting functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the CFO will develop policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership: Estimated Percent of Time: 30%
- Serves as a key member of the executive leadership team to drive long-term organizational strategy and company direction.
- Develops and evaluates short- and long-term financial strategies and past performance to ensure sustainable growth.
- Communicates financial health, strategic pivots, and risk assessments to the CEO, COO and Board.
- Oversees capital allocation, including the evaluation of ROI for major investments and acquisitions.
Financial Governance & Oversight: Estimated Percent of Time: 25%
- Provides high-level oversight of all fiscal functions, ensuring the Finance team maintains accurate general ledgers and payroll systems.
- Reviews monthly and annual financial statements to ensure absolute compliance with regulatory requirements and GAAP.
- Establishes organizational policies and procedures that maintain fiscal integrity and significant operational impact.
- Files quarterly and annual tax returns.
Enterprise Risk & Insurance Management: Estimated Percent of Time: 15%
- Oversees the organization’s comprehensive insurance programs and business office risk management.
- Ensures the organization is protected against financial loss through rigorous internal controls and audit readiness.
Executive Supervision & Departmental Synergy: Estimated Percent of Time: 30%
- Directly supervises the Director of Finance, Director of IT, and Director of Revenue Cycle.
- Prioritizes work, conducts performance evaluations, and makes key hiring and disciplinary recommendations for department heads.
- Ensures IT and Billing systems are strategically aligned with the organization's financial reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Master’s Degree (MBA) or CPA/CMA is strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- 3 years of experience in management or supervision.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (SKA) Required:
- Knowledge of accounting systems, treasury Management, board relations, tax-exempt regulations.
- Skilled in Cost Allocation, communication, problem solving, and budget forecasting.
- Ability to lead and supervise; managing operational, tactical and labor relations matters; using sound judgement, strategic thinking, and resource optimization.
- The ability to receive administrative direction and perform assignments within broad parameters defined by general organizational requirements and accepted practices.
