Job Description
The Senior Systems Engineer - Pre-Production Management is responsible for the development of Assembly and Powertrain Cost Studies for the NAFTA Region. Additionally, this person is responsible for the development and delivery of AME for Assembly Launches in the NAFTA Region. This role is a technical subject matter expert focused on designing comprehensive ICT solutions for launch projects. Furthermore, this resource is responsible for the management of one or more supporting resources used to ensure the delivery of AME and Cost-Benefit analysis deliverables.
This position is responsible for engineering ICT solutions in the Stellantis manufacturing environment using Stellantis systems. Delivers SOW for the ICT integration bid-package developed through project pre-engineering. The resource develops strategies to ensure long-term system reliability, process efficiency, and compliance with corporate standards.
This position is also responsible for creating, documenting, and updating Cost-Benefit Study responses for the ICT Scope of both Assembly, Powertrain, and Sales Codes for new product launches. These study responses serve as a baseline for the budget for the upcoming product launch and need to be as accurate as possible.
Key responsibilities:
Advance Manufacturing Engineering (AME):
Functions as an SME in all manufacturing Stellantis ICT applications:ACC, ANDON, AVI, Broadcast, Factory Asset Center, FIS, KANBAN, MDT/ Octoplant, Mercury, OPC (Kepware), PFCS, PFS, QAS, and UPS
Facilitate process design meetings with equipment OEMs to identify process integration points with Stellantis ICT applications
Engineers solutions for manufacturing processes in Stellantis manufacturing plants
Identifies issues/risks in process proposals and leads the workstream to resolve them
Creates documentation on proposed solutions and process integrations
Presents status updates on AME deliverable progress
Leads a team of engineers to create and deliver AME documentation
Develops AME documentation which serves as the SoW for the integration of the Stellantis ICT systems during the product launch
Cost-Benefit Studies:
Attends Cost-Benefit Study review meetings with Manufacturing group and reviews scope of change being proposed
Reviews changes identified in Study with other stakeholders (Plant, GTO, etc.) todetermine ICT Requirements
Uses a mix of information from other stakeholders and historical knowledge to generate the scope and cost estimate for the ICT portion of the launch
Delivers Study Response excel document and/or PowerPoint to Manufacturing Planning Group
Presents study supporting details as required to answer questions related to funding needs
Updates study tracking tool
Leads one or more support resources to deliver Study Responses
Execution of current and new vendor contracts.
Monitor contractor compliance and standards.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or Engineering related field
10+ years of experience in ICT manufacturing operations
Experience supporting Stellantis manufacturing applications and environments
Working knowledge in AllenBradley PLC5, Siemens S7 and ControlLogix (CLX) systems
Knowledge of integrating AVI and QAS within Stellantis assembly plants
Experience commissioning process equipment and torque tools at Stellantis facilities
Familiarity with industrial barcode scanners
Ability to engineer solutions for manufacturing processes in assembly and powertrain plants
Basic understanding of financial processes
Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and PowerBI
Ability to read CAD process layouts
Familiarity with Stellantis standards and processes for Assembly and Powertrain environments
Experience working with Manufacturing Engineering to launch and integrate ICT systems from concept through production
Ability to coordinate the work of supporting resources
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with virtual teams
Strong multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to explain technical topics and present to all levels of management
Fluent in English
Willing to travel approximately 40% within the NAFTA region
