As a Senior Buyer for High Voltage Batteries within Stellantis' Batteries & BMS organization, the candidate will manage one of the most strategically critical commodities in the global transition toward electrification. Supporting North American electrified powertrain programs, this role requires a deep blend of technical understanding, commercial leadership, and strong alignment with executivelevel decision making.
High Voltage Batteries represent one of the largest cost drivers and most sensitive technologies in Stellantis' BEV and PHEV portfolios. As a result, the Sr. Buyer plays a central role in shaping sourcing strategy, technology roadmaps, supplier selection, and industrialization decisions-often in direct collaboration with senior leadership across Purchasing, Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Legal and our Joint Ventures.
Core Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Prepare and deliver executivelevel sourcing recommendations, influencing Csuite and global leadership decisions
Negotiate complex commercial terms that shape the multibilliondollar battery cost structure and associated longterm supply commitments
Operational Execution
Manage daytoday commercial performance of battery suppliers, including cost, capacity, quality, logistics, and contractual compliance
Issue and administer purchase orders, longterm agreements, and nonstandard contracts
Monitor and mitigate supply risks, ensuring continuity for all electrification programs
Lead costreduction initiatives, including fixedcost recovery workstreams, benchmarking studies, and supplier valueoptimization activities
CrossFunctional Integration
Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Finance, Legal, and Project Cost Engineering to ensure sourcing decisions meet technical, timing, and financial objectives
Provide leadership across global crossfunctional teams to resolve commercial or technical barriers
Deliver clear, timely reporting on commodity performance, supplier status, and risk assessments
Joint Venture & Gigafactory Collaboration
High Voltage Battery sourcing at Stellantis requires extensive collaboration with our Joint Venture (JV) partners, including global cell manufacturers and largescale Gigafactory investments.
Key Responsibilities with JVs:
Act as a primary commercial interface between Stellantis Purchasing and JV organizations supporting Gigafactory operations
Align JV production capacity, cell chemistry strategy (LFP/NMC), and technology roadmaps with Stellantis vehicle program needs
Support JV governance processes by providing cost analyses, sourcing scenarios, risk assessments, and volume allocation strategies
Evaluate investment tradeoffs, capital recovery mechanisms, and longterm supply agreements in partnership with senior leadership
Ensure synchronization between JV industrial plans and Stellantis product launch timing, quality milestones, and supply chain readiness
Strategic Impact
Working with JV partners directly influences:
Factory capacity planning
North American localization strategy
Longterm cost competitiveness and TCO
Technology differentiation and platform compatibility
