Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler
Job Description
This role focuses on safely operating a sit-down forklift to move raw materials and finished goods throughout a manufacturing facility, supporting both production and outbound shipping. You will handle a high volume of truck loading and unloading, maintain accurate inventory movement, and follow established safety and operating procedures on a consistent third-shift schedule.
Responsibilities
Prepare finished goods for outbound shipping and load shipments into the correct trailer or container truck.
Unload inbound shipments and place materials into the proper storage locations and warehouse areas.
Complete all required shipping and inventory paperwork accurately and attach documentation to shipments to support order fulfillment.
Move raw materials and finished parts to and from production cells, staging areas, and warehouse storage locations.
Operate electric-powered sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently for 90-95% of the shift.
Load approximately 10-14 trucks per shift while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
Inspect forklifts before use to ensure compliance with safety requirements and standard operating capabilities.
Follow written start-up and operating procedures for electric-powered lift trucks.
Respond to requests to locate, count, and report physical inventory quantities as needed.
Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all facility safety guidelines and policies.
Work collaboratively with a small team to meet production and shipping schedules.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift in a professional setting.
Proven experience stocking production lines with raw materials or goods.
Demonstrated work tenure of at least 8 months or more with previous employers.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility.
Ability to safely operate electric-powered sit-down lift trucks for the majority of the shift.
Ability to complete and manage shipping and inventory paperwork accurately.
Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and awareness of safety in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work third shift from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with some overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Current or previous forklift or hilo license is a plus.
Experience loading and unloading multiple trucks per shift.
Comfort working in both louder production areas and quieter warehouse areas.
Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Work Environment
This is a third-shift position running from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, typically around a 40-hour workweek with some overtime as needed. You will work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment that is not the cleanest and can be loud in some production areas, while the warehouse itself is quieter. The role involves operating a sit-down, electric-powered forklift for 90-95% of the shift and loading approximately 10-14 trucks per night. You will work closely with a team of about five colleagues, following safety procedures and standard operating guidelines throughout the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
