Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team where you will be primarily responsible for designing powertrain and engine components, test equipment, leak test machines, and industrial washers. You will work on various projects simultaneously and need to effectively communicate with group leaders and industrial workers on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
Design powertrain and engine components, test equipment, and industrial washers.
Work on multiple projects concurrently.
Communicate effectively with group leaders and shop floor workers.
Address issues on the shop floor 10% of the time, with the remaining 90% of time spent at the design station.
Travel to customer facilities for approval and active field checking as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficient in SolidWorks design.
Minimum one year of experience in automation design, preferably in powertrain automation equipment.
Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in automation design such as conveyors and powertrain assembly.
Familiarity with industrial washers.
Previous experience in a small company environment is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
