BIM Designer
Overview
A BIM Designer is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models that support the planning, design, construction, and operation of buildings and infrastructure. This role blends technical drafting expertise with digital modeling, collaboration, and problem-solving to ensure accurate, data-rich project documentation.
The ideal candidate should have multiple years of experience working with Navisworks and must have a quiet place to work from home.
?Key Responsibilities
Model Development
Produce detailed 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
Develop plans, sections, elevations, and construction details derived from BIM models.
Maintain model accuracy, organization, and adherence to project standards.
Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to integrate discipline-specific models.
Participate in clash detection and resolve conflicts through coordinated model updates.
Support multidisciplinary design reviews and contribute to project coordination meetings.
Documentation & Standards
Prepare construction documents, schedules, and quantity takeoffs directly from BIM models.
Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
Assist in developing and maintaining BIM templates, libraries, and workflows.
Technical Support
Troubleshoot modeling issues and provide BIM-related support to project teams.
Implement updates to BIM software and tools as needed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of digital design processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
