The Gladwin County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is seeking a career-oriented individual for a long term position as a Child Support Specialist in a professional work environment. Full-time, 35 hours per week at $17.27 per hour, with applicable Union Step increase.
DUTIES:
Any and all duties are assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney.
- Individual must have experience in clerical work with knowledge of computers.
- Polite and capable of interacting with the public, law enforcement, attorneys, and court and county staff.
- Must always maintain work product confidentiality and confidentiality discussing cases or affiliated individuals.
- Working hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and may require occasional overtime, with adequate compensation.
This position involves substantial face to face contact with the public, serving as the liaison between the public, private employers, the Prosecuting Attorney, Friend of the Court, and the Department of Health and Human Services regarding custody and parenting time issues, and capability of learning computer programs to evaluate income and calculating support based upon responses received. Training will be available, but a computer proficient individual with customer service experience will be preferred. An ideal candidate would be an organized self-starter capable of managing multiple timelines of cases from start to finish.
