We’re seeking an HR Generalist to support our Newaygo, MI location. This role is in person, not remote. This role serves as a key partner to employees and leaders, helping to create a positive employee experience while supporting talent, operations, and people development initiatives.
You will play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, employee support, and HR operations, while contributing to a culture focused on growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Employee Support & Experience
•
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related support
•
Partner with leaders to support employee relations, engagement, and team effectiveness
•
Help reinforce a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace aligned with company values
Talent & Onboarding
•
Support recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding
•
Ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding experience for new hires
•
Assist with offboarding processes and exit documentation
HR Operations & Compliance
•
Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within UKG Pro (or similar HRIS)
•
Support benefits administration, including open enrollment planning and communication
•
Assist with employee leaves (Michigan and Illinois) and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
•
Help ensure consistent application of company policies, employment laws, and workplace standards
People Development & Projects
•
Support performance management processes, training initiatives, and employee development efforts
•
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
•
Partner with the HR team and site leadership to strengthen workforce capability and team continuity
