Schaeffler Motion Technologies USA, LLC seeks a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to Work closely with the Advanced Development Team for product definition and innovation of mechatronic sensor products for future feature development and enhancements through-out product development lifecycle. Maintains a close connection with North American customers to understand customer needs. Works with sales team to promote mechatronic sensor products in North American market. Represents NA market and customers on product opportunities, trends, and requirements. Establishes point of contact for internal and external customers for new products within the product group, serving as an intermediary between the Product family Product Managers in Europe. Supports new project acquisition with customer and technical input. Resolves engineering and design related issues and liaises between the development center, production sites and the customer on a product-by-product basis. Supports Project Manager and project team during all project phases to work towards seamless customer product launches. Provides technical direction to assigned product team members on program and customer objectives, requirements and timing. Supports launch and series production issues, from all aspects, as first responder/interface. Acts as an interface between all parties and represents business unit before customers. Teleworking permitted 2 days/week
