Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an opportunity to contribute to both inventory management and office services. The role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently handle shipping, inventory, and office operations while maintaining a high level of organization.
Responsibilities:
Pack and ship customer and office orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage product returns and address customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, reorder publications, and analyze data to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain adequate shipping supplies and coordinate backup resources as needed.
Handle the purchasing and inventory of office, training, and kitchen supplies.
Oversee the cleanliness and setup of training and conference rooms, including coordinating with the training department for additional support.
Manage catering orders for meetings, training sessions, and events, ensuring proper setup and cleanup.
Interface with building property management for office repairs and maintenance and supervise external service vendors.
Perform daily kitchen upkeep, including coffee service, to maintain a clean and functional workspace.
Utilize internal systems to manage inventory and shipping processes effectively. Requirements - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and move tables or chairs as required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels.
Prior experience in customer service, shipping, or purchasing is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license for occasional transportation of catering or supplies.
Flexibility to work after hours when necessary.
Familiarity with inventory tracking, shipping documentation, and international shipping processes is a plus. TalentMatch®
