Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing billing processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who excel in high-volume environments and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute customer invoices with precision and timeliness.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including follow-ups on overdue payments.
Process accounts payable transactions while ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries professionally.
Reconcile billing accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Collaborate with the accounting team to support seamless financial operations.
Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline billing and payment processes.
Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to company policies. Requirements - Previous experience in billing, accounts payable, or a related accounting role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
Organizational skills to manage high volumes of transactions.
Problem-solving abilities to address billing issues and customer concerns.
