Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Die Setter responsible for the setup, installation, and optimization of progressive dies in stamping presses for production. The role requires ensuring efficient operation and maintaining high-quality standards in a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and install progressive dies into stamping presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
Adjust press parameters including feed length, shut height, sensors, and press settings to ensure proper operation and part quality.
Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and consistent part quality.
Safely operate stamping presses while monitoring production output for defects, abnormalities, or equipment issues.
Conduct minor die maintenance, including sharpening punches, replacing springs, and cleaning and servicing die components.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die performance, material feed, or machine function.
Maintain accurate production and setup records, including part counts, setup times, and maintenance and adjustment logs.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report hazards, defects, or malfunctions.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling efficiency, die setup processes, and production flow.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production and company goals.
Essential Skills
4+ years of hands-on experience setting up and installing progressive dies into stamping presses.
Ability to perform setups and operate stamping presses by adjusting press parameters including feed length, shut height, sensors, and press settings.
Perform first-piece inspection and make precision adjustments.
Experience in die maintenance, preventive maintenance, die repair, and die design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in die maintenance is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of six buildings, where you will be responsible for all operations. Equipment includes 100-600 ton progressive presses, MIG welding machines, and orbit forming machines. The facility is typical of a stamping environment: loud and not the cleanest, but functional. The work schedule is on the 1st shift from 6 am to 2 pm, with Saturdays from 6 am to noon, totaling 50-60 hours a week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
