HP Pelzer Automotive Systems Inc. seeks a Maintenance Engineer in Port Huron, MI to analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, assisting in the planning of corrective actions, and implementing action plan. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Design and implementation of electrical circuits in production lines. Interpret hydraulic and electrical diagrams. Test newly installed or refurbished machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment to specification and safety. Repair, calibration and start-up of polyurethane foam injection pumps. Repair of polyurethane foam injection mixed heads. Repair of water cutting intensifiers. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment that is not scheduled for manufacturing to reduce downtime. Ensure the supervisor is aware of recurring equipment malfunction, of corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed. Maintain positive communication among other shift and departments to ensure consistent information. Ensure adherence to plant safety requirements as established by company policy. Ensure adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety Regulations. Utilize the following processes, tools, and technologies: RSLogix 500 for programming and verifying programs in PLC Allen Bradley; position adjustment and programming of Motoman and ABB brand robots for water cutting process; Automation Studio for updating hydraulic and electrical diagrams; use of multimeter, thermal imaging camera, hook ammeter, power tools and lathe; and adjustment and calibration of pressures and hydraulic flows for 300-ton RAT brand presses.
