ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
· Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
· Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
· Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
· Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
· Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
- Actively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.
Task
· Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards/1 piece
· Maintains his or her work area in a neat condition
· Completes all required documentation pertaining to setups and removing dies
· Assists other workers with specific chores as requested
· Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's
· Ability to set/insert/remove molds and/or dies
Mold and trim die preparation
· Inspect and/or clean molds and return them to storage racks
· When pulling die, ensure last piece part accompanies the die back to the storage rack
· Performs tool changes and final adjustments
· Performs basic troubleshooting and adjustment of processing problems
- Supports the Plant's Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
Basic computer skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Forklift certification may be required
Read blue prints and other necessary documentation
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

While performing the duties of this position employee may be exposed to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts and products with sharp edges. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
