Job Title: 1st Shift Fabricator
Job Description
The Fabricator will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment. A successful candidate will have a sense of urgency with a safety mindset.
Responsibilities
Fabricate, weld, and assemble metal components for equipment, guards, fixtures, and structural improvements.
Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs on machinery, conveyors, platforms, and facility infrastructure.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding and cutting using torches, plasma cutters, and related tools.
Maintain and repair fabrication equipment such as welders, grinders, presses, and saws.
Assist with preventive maintenance activities and support broader maintenance team tasks.
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
Collaborate with engineering or maintenance leadership to design cost-effective solutions for equipment improvements.
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts used, and fabricated components, and perform emergency breakdown repairs as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, industrial electrical and maintenance.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
3+ years working in a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years working with and maintaining automated machinery.
1+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
Automotive experience is a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.

Work Environment
The facility manufactures interior sound deadening material for the automotive industry. It is a fast-paced and deadline-sensitive environment typical of the automotive sector. The plant spans nearly 300,000 square feet and currently operates 50 hours a week, with work on most Saturdays and some Sundays, offering double time for Sunday shifts. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
