Job Description
Join our team as a Steel Tube Mill Operator, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality steel tubes. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Ensure proper length, straightness, and quality on the tube.
Troubleshoot and provide maintenance on the mill.
Load coils and weld coil ends together.
Assist and complete changeovers.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Essential Skills
2+ years of steel tube mill operation experience.
Ability to check specifications for length, straightness, and overall quality.
Comfortable with loading steel coils, mill changeovers, and setup adjustments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in roll forming, machine operating, and mill production.
Knowledge of steel fabrication, machine shop processes, tube bending, pipe fitting, and welding.

Work Environment
You will work in an automotive environment, which can be somewhat greasy and rough. We operate three mills with shaft diameters of 1.5 to 3 inches and tube diameters of 0.5 to 3 inches, including shape tubes like squares and rectangles. Shift times include 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Overtime, including weekends, may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42848.00 - $54080.00/yr.
