Description
We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join a growing firm in the Metro Detroit area. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, experience in litigation, and a solid understanding of case management. You will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys with insurance defense, construction litigation, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and drafting legal documents.
Conduct discovery processes, including gathering and analyzing evidence, reviewing documents, and preparing responses.
Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation and deadlines are handled accurately.
Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal correspondence with precision.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal strategies and ensure smooth case progression.
Utilize case management software to maintain accurate records and track case developments.
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to schedule meetings and gather necessary information.
Research legal precedents and summarize findings to support case arguments.
Monitor court dates, deadlines, and compliance requirements to ensure all timelines are met.
Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in insurance defense or construction litigation.
Proficiency in discovery processes and civil litigation procedures.
Strong experience with trial preparation, including organizing evidence and drafting legal documents.
Familiarity with case management software and ability to use it effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting and correspondence.
Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume litigation environment.
