- Provide culturally responsive, age-appropriate telehealth nursing care for OB/GYN patients, incorporating sensitivity to cultural, personal, and developmental needs.
- Triage incoming patient concerns via live telephone calls and secure patient portal messages; use strong listening skills to obtain complete, accurate histories.
- Independently assess and determine disposition to the appropriate level of care (home care, ambulatory visit, offsite clinic, Labor & Delivery, ED) using approved protocols and clinical judgment.
- Initiate diagnostic and therapeutic measures as indicated per institutional policy, standing orders, and established clinical guidelines.
- Deliver patient education and counseling on symptom management, health promotion, and care plans via phone and portal messaging.
- Document detailed encounter notes and all patient interactions accurately and efficiently in the medical record.
- Manage prescription refill requests and other clinical administrative tasks within scope and according to policy.
- Utilize electronic protocol databases/tools to assess, educate, and document in an accurate and expedient manner.
- Coordinate care across settings, including collaboration with ambulatory clinics, offsite locations, and Labor & Delivery to support continuity of care.
- Collaborate with providers as needed to obtain guidance, confirm disposition, or escalate complex/urgent clinical scenarios.
- Respond to urgent and emergent patient needs promptly and appropriately, following escalation pathways and safety protocols.
- Schedule patients for ambulatory clinic appointments when indicated and within established workflows.
- Meet established quality, safety, productivity, and customer service standards and use internal/external resources appropriately.
- Provide functional supervision/oversight of assistive personnel as applicable and collaborate with interdisciplinary and community resources to promote continuity of care.

- Current licensure to practice nursing in Michigan.
- Minimum of two (2) years current (within the last 5 years) RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory care nursing experience providing care to both GYN and OB patients.
- Minimum of three (3) years RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory care nursing experiencing in Specialty GYN (Urogynecology/Minimum Invasive Surgery).
- Minimum of three (3) years RN experience in Labor and Delivery OB Triage experience.

- Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing
- Additional specialty GYN ambulatory care experience in Vulvar, Peds GYN, Transgender Patients, and Chronic Pelvic Pain.
- RN experience with Phone Triage in an ambulatory care setting
- RN experience as a charge nurse or equivalent management skills
- Bilingual
