Salary: $58,908 – $76,961 annually (based on certification)

What You’ll Do
- Respond to fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls
- Deliver critical pre-hospital medical care
- Operate and maintain fire apparatus and equipment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Engage with the community through prevention and education efforts
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Firefighter II certification (or equivalent)
- EMT-B license or higher
- Valid driver’s license
Candidates who are currently enrolled in a Fire Academy, EMT, or Paramedic program and are able to obtain certification or licensure within 90 days are also eligible to apply and test.
Firefighter/EMTs must obtain Paramedic licensure within three years of hire.

Residency Requirement
Employees must reside within 30 miles of Traverse City within 12 months of hire.
