Inspection Associate - Custom Glass Production
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as an Inspection Associate in Custom Glass Production! Located in a vibrant workplace, this temporary-to-hire position offers the chance to ensure that our custom-fabricated and painted glass components meet the highest quality standards for office furniture. With a pay rate of $17/hour and a convenient 4x10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 1:45am, you will play a crucial role in inspecting finished goods, utilizing precision measuring tools, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues before products are packaged and shipped.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to determine precise requirements and tolerances.
Analyze daily work orders to plan material needs and cutting priorities.
Set up and operate manual and automatic metal cutting machines, including CNC cutters and shears.
Measure, mark, and cut metal with high accuracy using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
Handle and organize raw materials to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
Examine raw materials for defects prior to processing and inspect finished items to ensure compliance with specifications and quality criteria.
Perform ongoing checks for dimensional and surface quality as required by project standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; manage inventory of materials and tools.
Follow internal quality assurance protocols and industry safety standards to ensure products always meet expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in metal cutting, fabrication, or manufacturing is preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings and use precise measuring instruments.
Ability to complete assesment based on measurements, decimals and glass specs.
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Physical capacity for long periods of standing, heavy lifting, and repetitive tasks.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and strong work ethic.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
