Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating 3 Axis CNC Mills, working from solid models, blueprints, or drawings to produce a variety of prototype and manufacturing parts.

Responsibilities
Perform complete short run CNC Mill setups, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and first-article verification.
Set up and run 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines for prototyping and production.
Read and interpret technical drawings, including blueprints, engineering drawings, orthographic projections, sectional views, part notes, dimensions, and tolerances.
Understand machining principles such as cutting methods, feeds/speeds, and tool selection.
Make program edits at the machine as needed, including offsets and minor g-code adjustments.
Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience performing full CNC Mill setups (5 Axis), including tooling selection, fixturing, offsets, and verifying dimensions.
Ability to work independently with Fidia or Fanuc Controllers, including editing programs at the machines, adjusting offsets, modifying feeds/speeds, troubleshooting, and making minor code changes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, including orthographic views, section views, tolerances, and part notes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to set up 5-Axis Mills, particularly with Heidenhain Controllers.
Experience in prototype and aerospace machining.
Knowledge of WorkNC.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled machine shop focused on automotive and aerospace prototypes, tooling, and fabrication. We are an OEM and Tier 1 Supplier, with over 100K Sq Ft of manufacturing space divided into 5 buildings. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours on Saturdays from 6 am to noon, totaling 50-60 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
