Job Duties: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the company’s fleet of boats, docks and vessels. Works independently and as part of a team to perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including washing, scrubbing, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces both inside and outside the boats. Specifically:
- Clean and maintain the exterior and interior of vessels, including but not limited to washing decks, windows, hulls, and other surfaces.
- Remove debris, trash, and other waste from boats and docks after use.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
- Polish metal surfaces, clean glass, and vacuum, mop floors or power wash as required.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, mops, vacuums, and buffers.
- Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, or touch-ups when necessary.
- Inspect vessels and docks for any damage or cleanliness issues, reporting findings to the Senior Fleet Captain.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs to be reordered.
- Adhere to all safety and operational guidelines when working onboard vessels.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with other team members and customers.
- Ensure cleaning duties are completed in a timely manner, especially between scheduled departures.
- Participate in regular safety drills and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Follow all environmental guidelines for proper waste disposal.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor
- Aids with patrons in emergency situations.
- Deal effectively and courteously with the public, group situations, customers, clients and other employees of the Company
- Will make minor repairs to ferry boats and docks:
On Boats: Use paintbrushes to touch up minor scratches on rails and other surfaces such as door jams, doors, and areas around windows. May also involve using a small crescent wrench and/or screwdriver to reinstall small signs (approximately 1 ft x 1 ft) that are held on by as simple nut and bolt or seats that were removed during fall cleaning for winter preparation, that are attached by four quarter inch nut and bolts.
On Docks: Use paintbrushes to touch up minor scratches on benches, tables, stations, and rails. May also require using a small crescent wrench and/or screwdriver to reinstall small signs (approximately 1 ft x 1 ft) that are mounted on posts with two nuts and bolts and were removed during the fall cleaning process in preparation for winter.

Position Requirements: Will be required to:
- Speak and understand English;
- Work primarily nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Reach with hands and arms;
- Stand, walk, and sit;
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and
- Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. We do not test; we simply accept the applicant’s word that they can do so.
No prior experience or education is required.

Fringe benefits are not provided. Housing available at $150.00 bi-weekly. Not a condition of employment, is optional, and will be deducted from bi-weekly payroll in addition to other deductions authorized by law. Employer will make no other deductions from the worker’s paycheck except those required by law. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.

Period of employment: Seven (7) + months (April 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026)
Employer will offer 40 hours per week. Full time. Shifts of 8 hours: 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Shift times / lengths and days of week may vary. Businesses are open 7 days a week.
Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour
Overtime: $27.00 per hour as applicable
Eligible for bonus of $2.00 per hour for every hour worked, provided worker meet our good attendance policy and works until the employment end date of October 31, 2026. If eligible, bonus will be paid upon completion of the work contract.
A single work week will be used for computing wages due.
Workers will be paid bi-weekly.
Employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law.
Employer will guarantee payment for three-fourths of the work week hours (averaged over a 6- or 12-week period) regardless of actual hours worked, unless worker fails to report for work.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Subsistence will be at least $16.28 per day of travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Employer will reimburse worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.
