Job Overview: Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a crucial role in providing top-notch oral healthcare services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled professional who is passionate about promoting dental hygiene and patient wellness.
Responsibilities: - Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques - Conduct oral health assessments and screenings - Take and develop dental x-rays - Assist the dentist during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards - Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management - Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care - Provide specialized care for pediatric patients when needed
Qualifications: - Valid Dental Hygienist license in Michigan - Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software or similar dental practice management systems - Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques - Experience in four-handed dentistry and assisting during various dental procedures - Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health practices - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry
Nice-to-Have Skills: - Pediatric dentistry experience - Proficiency in medical terminology - Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures - Knowledge of medical imaging technologies - Familiarity with advanced dental tools and equipment
