Job Summary & Responsibilities
Personal Assistants (PA) in Social Security Field Offices play a vital role supporting physically disabled employees in delivering Social Security benefits and services to the public, both in person and over the phone. As a PA, you would work closely with the employee you are assisting as they perform their daily job duties.
Your duties could include clerical support, written and verbal communication, computer system work and organization. The position is a two-year time limited appointment and can be extended beyond that with satisfactory performance. Those in the positions are not eligible for internal vacancies or promotions, but they are eligible for all benefits that Social Security employees have.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen and have excellent communication and people skills. We consider additional qualifications such as experience, education, or a combination of experience and education.
