Position Summary:
At Action Traffic Maintenance, the Client Relationship Manager plays a critical role in driving growth, supporting the Sales Division, and strengthening relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders across our markets.
The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the planning and coordination of work within the division. Success in this role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as an understanding of construction workflows, needs, and field operations.

- Guide the team and ensure sales growth and customer retention across contractors, partners, and suppliers through high-trust, long-term relationships.
- Works closely with the team following the project schedule, incorporating dates, procurement of materials and subcontracts, lead times for fabrication, and field installation, which is established and maintained.
- Oversee quoting, accounts, and customer experience to ensure reliable follow-through across all lines of the division.
- Maintain an active field & industry presence- regularly visiting job sites, customers & networking events.
- Prepares external and internal reports on job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
- Meet regularly with the field team to review projects daily to ensure quality construction standards and estimates remain within budget.
- Partner with sales team & field leaders to align demand planning, materials availability, and on-time fulfillment.
- Track performance (trends, margins, pipeline/customer activity) and identify growth opportunities.
- Attend regular meetings and report division performance to Executive Leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team focused on selling material & services to customers.
- Develop and set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development of the division and day-to-day support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive dynamics within the industry.
- Improve systems and processes for lead tracking, customer management, and marketing effectiveness.
- Incorporate a Safety-First Culture into all areas of the Division
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction operations and highway construction principles- Preferred
- Proven experience in leadership; experience in construction materials or related industries- strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver's license required must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy, as regular travel is an essential function of the role.
- At Action Traffic's discretion, may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.

- Intermediate skill in using office equipment and technology, including but not limited to: Microsoft Suite applications; Outlook, Excel, and Word.
