Summary of Position:
This position will support the business through effective initiation of products and guidelines that will support new and existing products to the company's repertoire of capabilities also establish and maintain the protocols for effective quoting to sustain a sales level acceptable to the company's financial goals expected to be in tune with customer relationships and protocols that either require human interface or technical software to ensure communication is above standard and clarity of expectations and deliverables expect this position to ensure that all information is conveyed to the manufacturing team and supported by leading the program efforts to the CNC machines and advising for best practices when required expect all information after purchase order to be conveyed for administration duties to begin this position is also required to support the plant's safety and environmental initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
- Shall adhere to all safety health and environmental procedures policies and practices
- Shall support companies expectations through establishing guidelines for management of quotes and sales while establishing manufacturing information for programming and operations expectation per quote process
- Shall be key person in metric for sales generated and financial expectations of margins for the management's review
- Shall be the key person for metric on efficiency of sales (quotes generated vs quotes to P.O.) and engineered products quoted (time management versus customer)
Key Accountabilities:
- Outside communication with customers will be critical
- Work with quality manager for establishing and documenting procedures for quote requirements
- Support to ensure the proper prioritization of work is considered for quote. Keep the "under promise and over deliver" thought process as timing is factored for the customer
- Work with plant manager for decision making on equipment upgrades and programming updates
- Documentation control (paperless) for libraries to be set up and governed for engineering files and quoting
- Support manufacturing as the liaison of the product when necessary to convey the details of customers requirement to the application of the task within the operation bridge the gap
- Support the activity that is required for employee improvements through educating the workforce for best practices and cadences
Skills and Competencies:
- Personal computing skills with knowledge of Ms. office suite and CAD slash Cam systems
- Strong communication skills dash both written and oral
- Highly organized
- Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multitask
- Ability to retain critical knowledge of QMS systems project management and machining
- Able to identify urgent and or emerging problems identify alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in problem resolution
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Secondary degree in management or equivalent manufacturing experience and training is strongly preferred
- Five or more years of experience in engineering systems machining or similar role within a manufacturing setting
- Experience in some facet of a project or process management within a manufacturing setting
