Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Construction Materials Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials on various projects across the Detroit/Metro Detroit area. T
Responsibilities
Conduct material sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete, and concrete during placement on active construction sites.
Interpret project specifications and working drawings.
Perform field inspections, testing, and sampling.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment on assigned projects.
Accurately obtain and legibly record field data in an organized manner, as required by project plans, specifications, or staff.
Generate and compile comprehensive field reports, primarily using MetaField.
Document daily installed construction quantities.
Communicate effectively with all on-site team members, including contractors and owner representatives.
Maintain open and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Ensure the proper maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Understand and strictly adhere to all public health and safety requirements and established safety procedures.
Essential Skills
2 plus years of Material Testing experience
Clean Driving Record
Proficiency in MS Office
ACI/MCA Concrete Level I Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
MDOT Density Control Certification

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
