Tasks / Responsibilities:
Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) to support installation, commissioning, and service of hot runner control systems.
Establish and develop strong working relationships with customers, acting as the primary technical contact for controls-related topics.
Provide technical support and training during startup and optimization of hot runner systems, with a strong focus on temperature control systems (Gammaflux, Manner e-control, PRIAMUS)
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hot runner controllers, wiring, sensors (thermocouples), and control cabinets.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and system integration issues, including communication with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Perform rework, upgrades, retrofits, and repairs on control systems and related components.
Prepare and coordinate service calls, including review of technical documentation, system configurations, and required spare parts.
Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance process stability, part quality, and cycle time.
Support integration of advanced control technologies such as valve gate sequencing and cavity pressure systems (e.g., PRIAMUS).
Document service activities through detailed reports and communicate findings with internal teams (Project Management, Engineering, Sales).
Ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety requirements
Support of global Molding Solutions sites
Support of global integration initiatives, including harmonization/standardization of processes, KPIs, and cross-functional training
Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years of experience in plastics injection molding, with strong exposure to hot runner systems and controls
Hands-on experience with temperature control systems such as Gammaflux, Manner e-control, and/or PRIAMUS preferred.
Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills (wiring, sensors, control units, PLC interface is a plus).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Experience with industrial communication protocols and machine interfaces is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and customer-facing experience.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%.
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrix organization.
Reports / Deliverables:
Prepare and submit detailed service reports following each customer visit, including work performed, system status, identified issues, and recommended corrective actions.
Document and communicate technical findings, system improvements, and recurring issues to internal stakeholders (Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Care) to support continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of service activities, installed configurations, and customer-specific setups, ensuring proper documentation of control systems (Gammaflux, Manner e-control, PRIAMUS) and related components.
