PositionSummary:
The primary role will be to provide project management and
process improvement expertise to highly visible and multi-faceted
projects.
Responsible for analytical
support, and performance improvement methodologies to assigned service lines
and other special project initiatives as deemed appropriate.
Assists the COO with organizational deadlines
and obligations.
Essential Functionsand Responsibilities
:
Assists in the creationand development of comprehensive improvement plans to address identifiedimprovement opportunities as it relates to the operations of the healthsystem, and the delivery of patient care in and across multiple servicelines;
Ensures that organization-wideperformance improvement initiatives are focused and aligned with improvingoperational and program efficiencies and effectiveness;
Acts independently andconsistently exercises discretion and judgment in performing work which ispredominantly intellectual and varied in nature.
Ensures the maintenance ofdetailed records of project meetings, status and outcomes.
Participatesin periodic audit by external review agencies.
Analyzesand interprets data, operational and procedural problems related toassigned service line projects.
Monitorsexternal trends and how they impact the hospital, as well as providesexternal context to deliver excellence solutions.
Promotespatient safety by informing COO of quality issues discovered upon datareview.
Participateson various hospital and community-based committees as appropriate.
Assists in the developmentand implementation of project policies andprocedures.
Maintainshigh standards for accuracy and ensuring data integrity.
Assistsin trending of variances as appropriate.
Maintainsprofessional growth and development to keep abreast of latest in field ofexpertise.
Participates inperformance improvement activities.
Performs other duties asrequired and directed.
